Minsi Trails Council Boy Scout Jambo

On May 17th, members of the Lehigh Valley Detachment participated in the Minsi Trails Council Boy Scout Jambo. This event only happens every four years and includes thousands of Scouts. There are several activities that occur during this event, including fire starting, marksmanship, camping, and several other fun activities. While there, our members manned a table with the purpose of teaching the scouts the proper way to fold an American Flag, All of the young men and women that stopped by our table were very respectful and eager to learn. You could really see how much this mattered to them in the attention they paid and the efforts they put forward to learn the proper steps. It is always a fun time for our members to be to involved in any event that involves kids and allows us to share our knowledge with them. - Commandant Jason M Smith
