2018 Chapel of Four Chaplains Awards Dinner

This is the second year I have been able to attend this event, and this year held a special interest to the detachment. Our Detachment Senior Vice Commandant Howard Schaeffer was receiving the Legion of Honor Humanitarian Award. While it is always nice to get out and see how other charitable organizations run, it is especially nice to see one of our own receive recognition for their efforts. There are also many other veterans and representatives form other organizations there as well, giving us a great opportunity to spread the word about, not just our detachment, but the league in general.
